Donald Trump marked Cinco de Mayo with a taco salad and a profession of love for Hispanics – and social media bombarded the celebration with withering jabs that mocked the presumptive GOP nominee's outreach effort.

Trump shared his celebration on social media Thursday:



But with a March Gallup poll showing 77 percent of Hispanics have an unfavorable view of the billionaire real estate businessman, it wasn't long before social media weighed in.

"Daily Show" alum and host of "Full Frontal" Samantah Bee released her own withering homage on Facebook:




And National Review writer Charles Cooke tweeted:

while conservative columnist S.E. Cupp jibed:

Politico editor Charlie Mahtesian tweeted "I don't think this is what the RNC report had in mind," while writer Ben Shapiro skewered the candidate with a photoshopped tweet.


But it was Jorge Ramos who cut deep, noting "without Latinos there's no White House."
