Donald Trump's "woefully unprepared" presidential campaign will begin outsourcing some of its operations to the Republican National Committee (RNC), The Washington Examiner reports.

Trump discussed the handover as he spoke with reporters in North Dakota, where he has been campaigning:

"As far as building the infrastructure of the campaign, the RNC has been doing it for many years. [RNC Chairman] Reince [Priebus] has really upped it and all over the country they have very good people."

Not everybody has a rosy an outlook as the billionaire real estate tycoon who is the GOP's presumptive presidential nominee.

"There are worries since Trump never really built much of an operation," GOP strategist Kevin Madden, who worked on Mitt Romney's 2012 campaign, told The Examiner.

Earlier this week, a group of 20 Republican donors, a who's who of the party's financing apparatus, pledged to help bring in cash to fund Trump's run for the White House.

The announcement could help quell predictions that Trump wouldn't get enough support from traditional GOP donors and bundlers, many of whom have been openly critical of him up to now
