President Donald Trump said Tuesday that his ongoing public fight with Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., won't prevent the GOP from passing tax reform before the end of the year.

When asked by reporters if the feud would hurt progress on tax reform, Trump said, "I don't think so. I don't think so at all," according to the Washington Examiner.

Corker said Sunday that Trump "concerns" him and acts "like he's doing 'The Apprentice' or something," in an interview with The New York Times.

"I know for a fact that every single day at the White House, it's a situation of trying to contain him," he said.

Trump fired back that the paper "set Liddle Bob Corker up" in a tweet Tuesday morning.

"I think we're well on our way [to passing tax reform]," the president told reporters while meeting with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. "The people of this country want tax cuts, they want lower taxes."

He also said, "we're the highest taxed nation in the world."
