Longtime Donald Trump associate Rhona Graff was scheduled to meet with members of the House Intelligence Committee on Friday as they continue their investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election, NBC News reported.

Graff has worked with Trump for over three decades. She eventually became vice president of the Trump organization, according to the network news.

The House panel was set to interview her in an undisclosed location in New York. Many lawmakers have already left for the holiday recess – leaving only a handful of them to travel to New York for the closed-door meeting with Graff.

According to NBC News, there are concerns Republicans were trying to rush the Russia probe in an effort to undermine special counsel Robert Mueller investigation.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., urged House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., to “take urgent action” to ensure congressional investigations into Russia’s “assault on our election systems” continue, NBC News said.

“Political haste must not cut short valid investigatory threats,” Pelosi wrote in a letter obtained by the network news. “Key questions about foreign interference in our elections remain, and must be thoroughly investigated. Nothing less than America’s democracy and national security at stake.”

Graff’s name appeared in emails between Donald Trump Jr. and British publicist Rob Goldstone as they set up the controversial meeting at Trump Tower with a Russian lawyer, Newsweek reported.

“I can also send this info to your father via Rhona but it is ultrasensitive so wanted to send to you first,” Goldstone wrote, according to the magazine.
