Social media personalities and sisters Lynnette "Diamond" Hardaway and Rochelle "Silk" Richardson Tuesday applauded President Donald Trump's call to end "birthright citizenship," saying that they don't agree that immigrants should enter the country to make sure their babies are born in the United States.
"That's not the right way," Diamond commented on Fox News' "Fox and Friends." "I'm concerned about people, pregnant women trying to cross the borders where they can get raped, they can get killed trying to do that just to have a baby in our country."
Also, she said, Trump ran for office on "certain aspects," including promises to secure the border, build the wall and "end certain things. I was happy when I woke up and heard that."
"It's time to stop allowing people to take advantage of certain loopholes in our laws," Silk agreed.
Her sister also argued against people coming into the United States and sending money out of the country.
"You also have people crossing the border and they say okay. I want to obtain the American dream," she said. "Why do you send your money back to the country that you are running from? I don't understand that. I just say when you come in, let's do it the legal way. Get in line, wait your turn."
"That's right," Silk agreed.
"I want you to know that illegal aliens are not just coming into this country and picking grapes and berries," said Diamond. "They are getting into other sectors and driving down wages. And us as American citizens, especially black Americans, it affects us."
