The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised about $9 million more than its Republican counterpart in the third fundraising quarter of the year.

DCCC executive director Dan Sena tweeted the exact figures Wednesday, showing Democrats raised $8.9 million in September and $21.4 million in total. The National Republican Congressional Committee only brought in $4.9 million in September and $12.5 million in the third quarter, according to McClatchy.

Several Democratic candidates have done particularly well, according to The Hill including one labor activist looking to unseat House Speaker Paul Ryan.

Randy Bryce, an ironworker from Wisconsin, raised over $1 million in the third quarter, and has that much cash on hand as well. His only opponent in the Democratic primary, local school board representative Cathy Myers, only has $20,000 in cash readily available.

Retired Marine Lt. Col. Amy McGrath, running to beat incumbent Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky., raised $770,000 after releasing a video on YouTube describing the sexism she faced in becoming a fighter pilot.
