Hillary Clinton was right about the vast right-wing conspiracy against her husband to impeach President Bill Clinton, and there is a copycat effort at work against President Donald Trump, former Trump campaign deputy manager David Bossie told "Fox News Sunday."
"There's a vast left-wing conspiracy going on that has been going on since the president won this election – all throughout the transition and during those first two years – a vast left-wing conspiracy," Bossie told host Chris Wallace, saying he was using "very similar words" to Hillary Clinton's "vast right-wing conspiracy" phrase.
". . . It did turn out to be true, Chris. There was an effort by the conservative movement to undermine President Clinton that led to impeachment."
Bossie agreed with Wallace's response President Clinton did have a relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, but forces combined to work against the president to attempt to get him out of office. The left-wing conspiracy is the focus of Bossie and former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandoswki's co-authored book to be released Tuesday: "Trump's Enemies: How the Deep State is Undermining the Presidency."
"Of course he did [have that relationship]," Bossie added to Wallace. "But what we're saying here in the book is the media, the Republican establishment, and the intelligence services, not together, but separately, are undermining this president.
". . . We can go down the list of all of those within the DOJ and the FBI that undermined this presidency from the beginning. They undermined him during the campaign. They were using illegal operations against him."
