Booker Hits Hollywood Fundraising Circuit

Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., will headline a Hollywood fundraiser later this month — an event likely to fan speculation about his presidential ambitions, NBC News reported.

The fundraiser is one of several that feature Booker, including the Iowa Democratic Party's fall fundraising gala in Des Moines on Saturday and an Oct. 18 event for South Carolina's Orangeburg County Democratic Party, NBC News reported.

The California event will be held at the home of Simon Kinberg, the Hollywood producer behind film franchises like "X-Men" and "Deadpool." Tickets start at $150, with chair level donations at $5,000, the news outlet reported.

NBC News reported Booker is not the only possible White House hopeful hitting the Los Angeles fundraising circuit — former Vice President Joe Biden will headline an event in Beverly Hills on Wednesday at the offices of Hollywood mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg. Tickets go for $5,000 a head.
