Responding to media reports of a "physical altercation" between himself and White House chief of staff John Kelly, Corey Lewandowski denied Secret Service responded and merely called it "a very candidate discussion."
"The Secret Service didn’t break anything up," Lewandowski, Trump's former campaign manager, told "Fox News Sunday." "John and I had a very candid discussion, as he probably has many times with the president."
"Did he grab you?" host Chris Wallace asked.
"Look, I don't want to get into what John may or may not have done, but what I do think is he understands that my position is to support the president and the president's agenda all the time," Lewandowski replied.
Lewandowski and former deputy campaign manager David Bossie were appearing with Wallace to promoted their book to be released Tuesday: "Trump's Enemies: How the Deep State Is Undermining the Presidency."
Lewandowski claimed in the book Gen. Kelly would not allow him nor Bossie to walk around the West Wing without an escort, calling it "a bit out of bounds" and something "almost nobody" else has been ordered to have needed.
"To call into question our ability to walk around the campus of the White House I think is something that should be addressed," Lewandowski told Wallace.
