Americans want to know when former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton will be held accountable for the statements she made to the FBI about her email server, especially after the guilty plea entered by former national security adviser Michael Flynn last week and revelations concerning FBI agents, President Donald Trump's counselor, Kellyanne Conway, said Monday.

"We know that she lied a lot of times," Conway told Fox News' "Fox & Friends" program. "We know that she deleted 33,000 emails and a lot of Americans say she was not honest or trustworthy. That's why she lost and then you hear people saying when will she be held accountable?"

Over the weekend, The New York Times reported that special counsel Robert Mueller this summer pulled a top FBI counterintelligence investigator, Peter Strzok, from his probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election after it was discovered he and a colleague had anti-Trump exchanged texts.

Strzok has been reassigned to the FBI's human relations department, where he remains. For months, however, Strzok had played a key role in two of Washington's key cases this summer, including into Hillary Clinton's handling of classified information on her private email account.

"This is what frustrates people, now this revelation that a anti-Trump FBI investigator was involved in the Hillary Clinton interviews," said Conway. "As the president says is now starting to make a lot of sense.

"And, of course, this is in the shadow or the context of never-ending investigations here of the Trump transition of the Trump campaign of possible collusion which, of course, the president said as recently as Saturday simply does not."

Conway also spoke out about ABC News' Brian Ross, who was suspended for four weeks without pay for making an incorrect report on Trump and Flynn.

Initially, Ross reported that during the campaign, then-nominee Trump directed Flynn to contact Russians. However, after the report aired, Ross clarified it, saying the source actually told him that Trump had asked Flynn to contact the Russians after he was elected to discuss options for working together to fight against ISIS.

"It's getting no attention," she said, even though ABC admitted the error that lingered for hours before it was clarified. "There's one male anchor left, and I was disappointed because he's a responsible journalist. He should have pushed back and said wait a second. Breaking news here because that doesn't make any sense."
