Republicans are calling on House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., to set up a vote for an uncompromising immigration bill, CNN reports.

According to the news network, the Republican Study Committee, a group of over 150 members of the GOP, will announce on Tuesday that it has taken a vote and will support the Securing America's Future Act.

"The Securing America's Future Act is the framework to strengthen border security, increase interior enforcement and resolve the DACA [Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals] situation," group's steering committee said in a statement to CNN.

"We believe an eventual stand alone floor vote is essential. We oppose any process for a DACA solution that favors a backroom deal with Democrats over regular order in the House."

The House Freedom Caucus, a similar but smaller group of conservatives, also recently announced its support for the bill.

RSC leader Rep. Mark Walker, R-N.C., told CNN that finding the votes may be difficult, and that this is where leadership is necessary.

"Are we at 218? I'm not pretending that we are, but I believe this is the direction we should be headed," he said. "I think ultimately (a vote) is our ask. The only other things that we have seen out there are pieces of legislation that, though well intended, may garner 20 or 25 Republican votes here or there. That's why we believe this is the framework to get things moving."
