Hillary Clinton's camp is growing more and more upset with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders as the pair continues its primary-season fight.

According to The Hill, one Clinton aide said Sanders is "burning down the house" in regards to his pledge to continue fighting for the Democratic presidential nomination and trying to convince his supporters to stay away from backing the former first lady.

"This is the worst-case scenario and the one people feared the most," a Clinton ally and former aide told The Hill.

"Unfortunately, he's choosing the path of burning down the house. He continues with character attacks against Hillary. He continues with calling the Democratic Party corrupt, and he not only risks damaging Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party but he's currently doing it."

Sanders came under fire earlier this week after his supporters got rowdy at the Nevada Democratic Convention. Clinton is the leading candidate on the left.

"It's inappropriate at this point, and I hate to tell him, it's not helping him in the long run. It's only hurting him," the source told The Hill. "The Republican Party has their nominee, and he's free and clear of his Republican opponents and is taking shots at Hillary. We need to move closer to that process, and he's not helping."

Donald Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee and has already begun his assault on Clinton. He's also been working behind the scenes with senior members of the Republican Party to come together as they gear up for the general election campaign.

A Clinton PAC released an ad blasting Trump this week, calling him a "con man." And Clinton said Trump is not qualified to serve as president.

A Los Angeles Timesreport this week suggested Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren could help heal the wounded Democratic party by reaching out to both Clinton's supporters and Sanders' far-left crowd.
