A longtime aide to Bill Clinton called his daughter Chelsea Clinton a "spoiled brat kid" in an email released by WikiLeaks.
"She is acting like a spoiled brat kid who has nothing else to do but create issues to justify what she's doing because she, as she has said, hasn't found her way and has a lack of focus in her life. I realize it is difficult to confront and reason with her but this could go (too) far and then we will have a real serious set of other problems," Doug Band wrote in a 2011 email.
The email was sent to John Podesta, who is now chairman of Hillary Clinton's Democratic presidential campaign. Band had been her husband's chief of staff.
Band said he felt disrespected and wanted a way to talk out the issue.
"I don't deserve this from her and deserve a tad more respect, or at least a direct dialogue for me to explain these things."
The aide stayed with the Clintons after Bill's presidency ended, then he left the Clinton Global Initiative to found the consulting firm Teneo, a firm that later employed Clinton confidante Huma Abedin.
The issue between the two is not clear, but in 2011, they were believed to be at odds over issues involving Teneo, according to The New York Times.
"Doug apparently kept telling my dad I was trying to push him out, take over," Chelsea Clinton daughter wrote to Podesta.
The hacked emails included one that read, "Our business has almost nothing to do with the Clintons" in any way, including The Clinton Foundation or the Clinton Global Initiative.
In other hacked emails, Band said he had to convince Clinton Foundation COO Laura Graham not to kill herself.
"She called me to tell me the stress of all this office crap with wjc (Bill Clinton) and cvc (Chelsea Clinton) as well as that of her family had driven her to the edge and she couldn't take it anymore," according to The Daily Caller.
