Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle is favored by 35 percent of likely voters in the Republican primary, former state Sen. Hunter Hill is backed by nearly 9 percent and Secretary of State Brian Kemp is supported by 7 percent, according to a Landmark/Rosetta Stone poll.

State Sen. Michael Williams has the backing of 4 percent in the poll. But 44 percent of the voters say they are still undecided in the face and businessman Clay Tippins by 1 percent.

The poll was released to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which published it.

If any candidate fails to top 50 percent in the May primary, a June runoff will be held to decide between the top two vote-getters.

The poll, conducted Oct. 16-17, surveyed 800 voters. It has a margin of error of 3.5 percent.
