Carter Page: 'Media Leak Strategy' Concocted 'to Get Trump'

(Fox News' "Hannity")

Former Trump campaign aide Carter Page, embroiled in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation and the latest news of a systemic "media leak strategy" employed by the Justice Department and the FBI, says "there's no doubt whatsoever" some government officials are out to get President Donald Trump.

"It's not about me – they're just trying to get to the Trump administration, the Trump campaign," Page told Fox News' "Hannity" on Monday night. "This is just a way of tearing down all the great things that President Trump is doing."

Page was responding to questions about the latest tweets revealed between former federal prosecutor Lisa Page (no relation to Carter Page) and now-fired FBI agent Peter Strzok, according to new documents from the Justice Department.

"I had literally just gone to find this phone to tell you I want to talk to you about media leak strategy with DOJ before you go," a text from Strzok to Lisa Page on April 10, 2017, read.

Carter Page is suing the Justice Department for "government propaganda," but is asking for just $1 in the lawsuit, he told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

"I want to fix this terrible thing that has happened to our country," Carter Page added. "This is just on principle, it's just so corrupt right now."

". . . The more information that comes out, it's just going to keep showing just how ridiculous this whole thing is."
