Saying his acting Cabinet members "are doing really great," President Donald Trump is "in no hurry" to name full-time replacements, CNN reported.
"Well, I'm in no hurry — I have acting (administration officials) and my actings are doing really great," Trump told reporters before heading to Camp David.
Trump pointed to acting Interior Secretary David Bernhardt and acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney as both "doing great."
"But I sort of like acting, because there will be more flexibility, do you understand that?" Trump said. "I like acting.
"So, we have a few that are acting."
Trump added he has a "great, great Cabinet — if you look at my Cabinet, we have a fantastic Cabinet. Really great."
Trump has had trouble getting past nominations approved in the Senate amid claims of Democrats' obstruction.
And the ones that have gotten approved, like National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, and Gen. John Kelly, have not been interested in promoting the president's agenda, as former staffer Sebastian Gorka and former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski have maintained.
