The conservative Heritage Action group spent the bulk of its $11.5 million annual budget trying to help get Judge Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court after he was nominated last week.

Heritage Action's executive director Tim Chapman told Axios of its planned expense revolving around Kavanaugh's nomination.

The battle plan includes securing media coverage, placing digital ads on social media, and attending grassroots events. Additionally, the effort will call out these lawmakers because they are either on the fence about voting for Kavanaugh, are Democrats in Republican states, or are in the midst of tight reelection campaigns:

Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, and Sens. Jon Tester, D-Mont., Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., Bob Casey, D-Pa., Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., Tim Kaine, D-Va., and Bill Nelson, D-Fla.

President Donald Trump nominated Kavanaugh on July 9 to replace Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy, who will retire at the end of this month.

Advocacy groups representing both sides of the political aisle have committed to spending millions of dollars in the fight to get or oppose Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court.
