Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., said Sunday he can’t back up President Donald Trump’s controversial claim of a missing computer server in Ukraine that was used to make him look bad during the 2016 election.

In an interview on CBS News’ “Meet The Press,” was asked about election meddling by both Russia and Ukraine.

“No doubt Russia interfered in the U.S. election,” Blunt said, adding that facts indicate “Ukraine was involved in some things."

"I don't have any information" to back Trump’s apparent believe that someone in the Ukraine might possess a hacked computer server belonging to the Democratic National Committee.

Blunt also said ambassadors now in the public spotlight over reported discussions about Trump’s interactions with Ukraine about looking into election meddling “need to be held accountable.”

"Some of these ambassadors haven't had any diplomatic experience... they all need to be held accountable,” he said.

"I think we should look at everything... put it together and see if the president's statements... what that really means,” he said of the president’s call to both Ukraine and China to look into political rival Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

“I don't think it's unusual if diplomats ask each other things,” he added.
