Rep. Perry to Newsmax: In Biden Case, Cover-Up Reveals More Than Crime

By    |   Monday, 21 August 2023 08:42 PM EDT

While there likely is "probable cause to believe that the president himself is corrupt" and used his son and family to launder money through shell corporations from foreign countries, it's also likely that the DOJ and IRS are involved as well, Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., told Newsmax on Monday.

"The scandal has unimaginable, and it's hard for us to fathom as Americans, the breadth and scope that this scandal might take on… oftentimes, the crime is one thing, but it's oftentimes the cover-up that reveals so much more," Perry told "Rob Schmitt Tonight."

Perry added that he believes that the reason that David Weiss, U.S. Attorney from Delaware, was appointed as special counsel to oversee the Hunter Biden investigation is to cover for the Biden family and to make it extremely difficult to learn just how involved President Joe Biden was in the scandals.

"It's not only the Biden family stonewalling the United States Congress and our oversight, it is these federal agencies, including the Department of Justice. You can see from the whistleblowers that they were working part and parcel for this," Perry said.

"It is horrifically corrupt, and everybody from the top to the bottom, from the president to the Department of Justice, FBI, IRS, are all involved and implicated," Perry added.
