Political corruption and a biased media landscape led Americans to vote Donald Trump as their president, television host Sharyl Attkisson said.
"Americans I think were tired of what they see as systemic corruption by political insiders," Attkisson said. "Some also resent what they view as growing attempts by government to control and legislate their thoughts.
"And they rebelled against what they see as media collusion with the cozy political and corporate establishment. I have no idea what to expect."
Attkisson will address why the media and many pollsters were wrong in predicting Democrat Hillary Clinton would win the election on "Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson," which airs Sunday on various stations across the country.
The longtime journalist added she knew Trump would win because voters could see through the media's bias.
"I will say that I'm not a political expert," Attkisson said. "But the reason I long said Trump would win had to do with recognizing and ignoring the narratives being fed to us — and trying to see the real world around us. I've gotten pretty good at dissecting 'AstroTurf' and the narratives fed to the public and press."
