The conservative advocacy group American Future Fund (AFF) is spending more than $600,000 for TV ads attacking the Democratic Senate candidates in Nevada and North Dakota, an AFF strategist told
Politico.
The AFF is allocating $472,000 to spots against Nevada Rep. Shelley Berkley that will run between Aug. 22 and Sept. 4. And the group is shelling out $163,000 for ads against former North Dakota Attorney General Heidi Heitkamp that will air from Aug. 22 to Aug. 28.
Both candidates face competitive races against their Republican foes – Sen. Dean Heller in Nevada and Rep. Rick Berg in North Dakota. Real Clear Politics rates both contests a tossup.
