Arnold Schwarzenegger trashed President Donald Trump’s sit-down with Vladimir Putin on Monday, saying the commander in chief resembled a fawning "little fan boy" in front of the Russian strongman.
"President Trump, I just saw your press conference with President Putin. And it was embarrassing," the former California governor and movie star said in a message posted on Instagram.
"I mean, you stood there like a little wet noodle, like a little fanboy. I was asking myself when you are going to ask him for an autograph or a selfie or something like that?"
Schwarzenegger said Trump had "literally sold out at this press conference, our intelligence community, our justice system, and worst of all, our country" by siding with Putin instead of U.S. intelligence on the question of whether Russia interfered with the 2016 presidential election.
"You’re the president of the United States, you shouldn’t do that. What’s the matter with you?" Schwarzenegger said.
"I mean what happened to the strong words and the strength of Ronald Reagan when he stood there at the Berlin Wall and said ‘Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall?' What happened to all that?"
"The Terminator" star, a Republican, served as California’s 38th governor from 2003 to 2011.
