New White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci will not accept a salary in his role in President Donald Trump's administration, The Hill reported Friday, citing several reports.
"I am not," Scaramucci told CNN on Friday when asked if he would accept a salary while working in his new position.
The majority of White House top staffers and advisors to the president are paid $179,700 per year, according to administration financial disclosures released Friday.
The president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner both accept no salary in their roles advising Trump.
Scaramucci also did not accept a salary from his job prior to working at the White House as the chief strategy officer for the Export-Import Bank. An investment banker, Scaramucci reportedly earned $10 million in the first part of this year through his investment firm.
