Kentucky Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes has pulled even with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in the 2014 race for his seat, a new poll finds.

The survey was conducted for the liberal group MoveOn.org Political Action by the Democratic polling firm Lake Research Partners.

McConnell and Grimes are tied at 37 percent among likely general election voters, with 19 percent undecided.

Things look better for McConnell in his primary fight against Matt Bevin, with the incumbent holding a handsome 50 percent to 17 percent lead.

As for favorability ratings, 52 percent view McConnell unfavorably, while 42 percent view him favorably.

In terms of job performance scores, 29 percent rate McConnell excellent or good, and 68 percent rate him fair or poor.

The survey of 603 likely general-election voters was conducted Oct. 24 to Oct. 29 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
