Kinzinger on Trump, Corker: 'Where Did This Feud Come From?'

Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., said he was not sure what sparked the battle of words between President Donald Trump and Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn.

"I thought they got along actually pretty well, and then one day the president tweets against Corker, Corker tweets against the president, and I literally woke up and go, 'Where did this feud come from?'" Kinzinger said Tuesday in CNN's "New Day."

The congressman said he did not agree with some statements Corker has made about Trump, such as Corker's comment that Trump's recklessness will cause World War III.

Rather, some of Trump's tweets against North Korea have been effective and "beneficial," Kinzinger said.

"I think there's a little 'good cop, bad cop' there," with regards to diplomacy, the congressman said.

"I don't share that level of concern with Mr. Corker, but you know, look, obviously, there are some folks that are concerned with the tweeting that the president does," Kinzinger told CNN.

"I mean, every morning you wake up and you see something new," Kinzinger added.

Kinzinger also discussed Trump Tuesday on "Fox & Friends," where he said the president is "doing all the right things" in having a military option ready to act against North Korea.
