Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel on Sunday suggested she didn't have proof that Joe Biden reportedly was profit-taking in a deal with a Chinese energy company, saying it's up to the press and FBI to get to the bottom of the explosive controversy.

In an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” McDaniel deflected a question about whether she had proof of that Biden took money from a foreign country, as emails first reported by the New York Post allegedly say.

“I think that’s incumbent upon the press to start investigating,” she said. “I think what’s frightening is we should have a free and fair press that should be looking at a laptop that has not been disputed by the Biden campaign to be authentic.”

“These emails are deeply troubling as it looks like Hunter Biden is negotiating with a Chinese energy company to profit not just for himself, but for his father, but it warrants an investigation. That’s not my job. That’s the press’ job. That’s the FBI, those who have this laptop, to look into it.”

She said the mainstream media is treating the story differently because if involves Biden.

“If this were the Trump family and this laptop and emerged it would be all over the news 24/7,” she said. “It is frightening as we are looking at a candidate who is going to take us closer to socialism that we have a press that is showing itself not to be free and fair.”

According to McDaniel, there’ll be a “radical takeover” if Biden is elected.

“What we do know is that it will be the most progressive, radical takeover of our country if Joe Biden and Kamala Harris get in, especially if they fundamentally transform that third branch of government,” she said, referring to Democrats’ support of expand the Supreme Court.

McDaniel also bashed Biden’s policy remarks on fracking and oil companies, accusing him of “saying whatever it takes” to win voters.

“He’s lying to the American people,” she charged.

“When he’s in Pennsylvania, he’s for fracking, when he’s outside of Pennsylvania, he’s against fracking.”
