Over 30 million Americans are living completely alone, self-isolated in apartments, condos, and homes without the company of family members, and are increasingly vulnerable to the ravages of depression with each passing day, a new analysis warns.

While much of the nation's focus has been on the sharp jump in unemployment, the mental and emotional toll on all Americans is more and more evident. Domestic violence calls have jumped 25%, and suicide hotlines report their phones are ringing off the hook.
