Donald J. Trump’s election stunner in 2016 opened a new era in American politics: The rise of the billionaire-celebrity president. Ironically, that same trend may now be biggest obstacle standing between Trump and his re-election.

A bevy of Democratic billionaires are champing at the bit to go toe-to-toe with Trump. First, of course, they must capture the Democratic nomination against more experienced candidates who are expected to toss their hats in the ring, including Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif.
