Despite recently rolling out two new nuclear submarines, continued threats mentioning the nation’s robust atomic stockpile, and a growing number of battlefield losses, Russia experts aren’t convinced that President Vladimir Putin will resort to deploying nuclear weapons to shift the momentum in Ukraine.
Even though Moscow’s weapons arsenal appears to rival all other nations — at least in size — and Putin has seemed eager to boast about his devastating atomic capabilities, he has not given the order to go nuclear.
