The virus that causes COVID-19 disease feeds off of red blood cells, which explains why its victims have dangerously low oxygen levels in their blood, according to an analysis by an Italian pharmacological researcher published in The Jerusalem Post.

Annalisa Chiusolo is a scholar of pharmacology whose warnings have been published recently in several Italian newspapers. Italy is one of the nations hardest hit by the disease.
