US Drops to 18th on Global Economic Freedom Index

"The Trump Effect" appears to have reversed a decade-long downward spiral in U.S. economic liberty, according to a new Heritage Foundation report.

"The United States has suspended its long decline in the Index rankings," Heritage reports, "raising its score for the first time in a decade. A higher score in the 'financial freedom' area, which covers banking regulations, aided in the United States improved score."
