Growth of Data Centers Around D.C. Worries Security Experts

An axiom of business is to go where the customers are. In terms of data storage, one of the biggest customers is the U.S. government.

That has led to a concentration of data storage centers in Northern Virginia, reportedly more than half of the county's capacity. What may be good for having customers nearby, however, creates a vulnerability in an unwanted scenario.
