Experts Voice Growing Doubts Over US Lockdown Strategy

Several analysts now say there is growing evidence the unprecedented lockdown orders issued by state and local governments in response to the coronavirus pandemic may have been unnecessary, and possibly even counterproductive.

Preliminary data compiled from 113 New York hospitals indicated that of the approximate 1,000 patients admitted for COVID-19, two-thirds had followed the advice of government and medical professionals — they sheltered in their own home for the most part.
