The aggressive Chinese military expansion and accompanying rhetoric, countered by U.S.-led solidification of alliances and military cooperation, is being increased again. More words, more provocations.

On Sunday, Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun – at the Shangri-La Dialogue defense conference in Singapore – warned anyone who supported Taiwan in the event of an invasion by the mainland would be "crushed."
