Counterterrorism experts say ISIS and other fundamentalist terrorist groups are likely to strengthen and pose a greater threat under a Biden administration because of his policies.  If Biden rolls out relaxed immigration policies, takes a weaker stance on Iran, and diverts attention to focus on the coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. will face a grave threat.

President Donald Trump declared victory over the Islamic State, a radical organization that took control over parts of Iraq and Syria. And while the group’s strength has largely diminished, it isn’t eradicated. ISIS has recently taken credit for a rocket attack and several beheadings in Iraq. And Middle East experts say the growing threat will be an issue Joe Biden will have to face early on if he becomes the next president.
