Tom DeLay: Jeff Sessions Safe for Now, Despite Trump Storm

(Newsmax TV's "America Talks Live")

By    |   Tuesday, 05 June 2018 03:44 PM EDT

Despite President Donald Trump's thunderous disapproval of Jeff Sessions, the commander in chief is not about to fire his embattled attorney general for now, former GOP House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told Newsmax TV on Tuesday.

But once special counsel Robert Mueller concludes his investigation into Russia's interference with the 2016 presidential race and whether the Trump campaign was involved, Sessions and others in the Justice Department will be jettisoned, according to DeLay.
