On the brink of his 2008 election, Barack Obama told us that it was his intent to “fundamentally change the United States of America.” And has he ever.
Many thought that the first African American president would lead us to healing racial wounds. Yet today we are more racially divided than ever.
Turns out that Obama’s “fundamental change” involved settling some scores and taking America down a few notches both at home and abroad. The Constitution is a “badly flawed” (Obama’s words) document written by slave-holding white men who founded a biased, racist, bellicose nation, intruding and invading wherever it could.
An unfair nation where the privileged few get rich off of the backs of the poor.
Successful, hard working entrepreneurs, Obama lectures us, “didn’t build that.”
They’re just lucky, we’re told. Read his books, listen to his earlier speeches, observe whom he chose to associate with, and this picture becomes crystal clear.
Since taking office, Obama has never missed an opportunity to inflame racial divisions.
It started just a few months after he took office when he felt compelled to weigh in on the arrest of African American Harvard professor Henry Gates. Before any facts were known, Obama announced that the white cop had “acted stupidly.”
This pattern continued through Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Freddy Gray, and earlier this week with the police shootings of African American men in Baton Rouge, La. and St. Paul, Minn.
These incidents, particularly the killings, are tragedies. But that doesn’t mean they weren’t justified. Or that they were racially motivated.
Yet every time Obama rushes to the lectern and deals the race card.
In his mind America’s sordid, racist history lingers on in the hearts of these cops who are out shooting black men because they’re black. That’s Obama’s America.
Yet not a syllable about the real problem of black-on-black murders throughout the country. As of July 7 in Chicago alone there have been over 2000 shootings and 344 homicides.
Hell, Afghanistan is safer. That’s Obama’s America.
Hand’s up!” “Don’t shoot!” Is the narrative that was created in the Ferguson shooting of Michael Brown. That, of course, never happened. But to this day many young people still believe it, and Obama, Black Lives Matter (BLM) and the mainstream media have only reinforced that false image.
There is no bigger bully pulpit than the White House, and President Obama has used it to sew mistrust between African Americans and the police.
Now in the wake of Obama’s speech blaming a racially-biased criminal justice system for the killings in St. Paul and Baton Rouge, young black men in Dallas decided that murdering five police officers and injuring seven more might help even the score.
Twitter was rife with gleeful BLM supporters celebrating the murders and calling for more. That’s Obama’s America.
There is also a national security parallel with Islamic terrorists who are at war with us, a fact that Obama will not even acknowledge. ISIS has Obama’s foolish withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Iraq in 2011 to thank for their robust existence.
Not to mention his superficial efforts to go after them where they live.
Now these terrorists are living among us, perpetrating mass killings in San Bernardino, Chattanooga, and Orlando. More will come, because this is Obama’s America.
By the way, there’s evidence that America-hating Islamic terrorist organizations have synched their talking points on their recruiting videos with those of BLM, another America-hating organization.
That’s Obama’s America.
There is a popular adage in military and police circles, popularized by the movie American Sniper, that our society has three types of people: Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs.
The term “sheep” isn’t negative. It simply refers to most people, average, nonviolent individuals going about their daily lives.
Wolves are violent predators; murderers, rapists, terrorists, etc., who prey on the sheep.
Sheepdogs are soldiers and policemen; men and women who risk their lives to confront the wolves and protect the sheep.
Recent polling by the Military Times shows military support for Donald Trump laps Hillary by more than a 2-1 margin. And with police officers it isn’t even that close.
That is decidedly not Obama’s America.
So for you anti-Trump Republicans who are concerned with domestic and national security, ask yourself a question: Why does the overwhelming majority of sheepdogs favor Trump over Hillary to be their next commander in chief?
And here’s your follow-up: if the sheepdogs strongly support Trump, who do you think the wolves prefer?
Hillary makes it very clear that she will be Barack Obama’s third term. So ask yourself one final question: is a divided, dangerous, and weak America the future you desire for you and your children? Come November it’s your choice sheep.
Vote with the sheepdogs, or vote with the wolves.
