Any United States deal with Iran on its nuclear weapons program can only turn out badly for Israel and the rest of the world, said Caroline Glick, senior Middle East fellow at the Center for Security Policy.
"The Obama administration seems to have cooked up something with Russia and did not consult with Israel, because they knew that Israel would disapprove because this deal … is not going to be enforced," Glick told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"It's not going to be a serious gambit that's going to lead to Iran abandoning its nuclear weapons program or ending its development of nuclear weapons — whether uranium enrichment [or] the production of plutonium. So this is a really dangerous gambit that the Obama administration has taken," she said.

"It can only work out badly for everybody concerned except the Iranians, and perhaps Russians."
Last Friday, President Barack Obama revealed that he had spoken by phone with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in the first communication between the leaders of the U.S. and Iran since before the Iranian Revolution in 1979.
"The two of us discussed our ongoing efforts to reach an agreement over Iran's nuclear program," Obama said.
There was even a report that a fatwa, or legal opinion, against nuclear weapons was issued in Iran.
But that report is untrue, said Glick, who is deputy managing editor of the Jerusalem Post.
"The fatwa Obama cited in his address before the U.N. . . . suddenly was never issued. It's a lie. It was propaganda and has no basis [in fact] whatsoever," she said.
"There was never a fatwa from Khamenei saying that Iran will not produce nuclear weapons. The entire exercise here in pretending that Iran can have anything but ill intentions toward the United States and toward Israel and toward the rest of the world is … not based on reality … none of it."
Glick said Israel is now "in a box" because the United States is ready to negotiate with Iran.
"Israel is not going to feel free to attack Iran's nuclear installations in time to prevent them from acquiring nuclear weapons, from enriching sufficient amounts of uranium in order to develop those weapons, or producing plutonium to do so," she said.
"So it's very much a trap that Obama has laid for Israel, whether purposely or because he's really innocent to the point of stupidity."
She believes Russia remains a key player in the Iran's nuclear program.
"The Russians have been a major supplier of Iran's nuclear weapons," she said.
"So Iran is a strategic ally of Russia's and the notion that Russia doesn't play a key role in this as it did in Syria ... it's just ridiculous. It's very a central player here."
