Donald Trump Jr. to NewsmaxTV: Biden Had Iowa 'To Himself' for Weeks

Former Vice President Joe Biden had Iowa "to himself essentially for three weeks" while his "real competition" was in Washington, D.C., and if he doesn't win the Democratic caucuses Monday night, that would be a problem, Donald Trump Jr. told NewsmaxTV Monday night.

"I mean, if he can't get Iowa to go in his direction with that amount of time all by himself, I mean, I would have killed for that in 2016," the president's oldest son told "Newsmax Now" host John Bachman in an interview from Iowa, where he and Kimberly Guilfoyle, also interviewed by Bachman, are working on the president's reelection efforts as the caucuses are held.

Biden has to "win big," or he's "got troubles," said Trump Jr., but he doesn't think that means Biden's campaign will be over.

"We didn't win it, win Iowa, and we went on to win," he said, but added would be "very indicative" of the enthusiasm about his campaign.

Meanwhile, he said the "impeachment hoax" was pushed against his father at the same time he as delivering "unprecedented" results "despite zero help" from Democrats who would "rather see America fail as long as it takes down Trump."

"That's truly sad but again I think the American people see that," Trump Jr. added.

He also ridiculed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for saying that "impeachment is forever" with his father.

"It's like the consolation prize," he said. "We got this thing then because we control the House," said Trump Jr. "There was never any truth to it, but we got that done. We got our little ding; we got to hurt his legacy. That was literally their talking point."

He added that he and Guilfoyle, who have been called a "supercouple" in their political circles, are in Iowa because they want to mobilize the president's teams, and they want to thank Iowans for their support.

"We're going to have a rough general election, no matter what...it'll be a good warm-up for our team to be able to be here," she said.

Guilfoyle, appearing in a separate interview a few minutes later, is handling fundraising for the Trump campaign, and said that there is a "lot of enthusiasm" on the ground, as Trump has made sure Americans were not forgotten.

The robust economy will reap generational benefits, including by getting millions of people off the welfare rolls, which is "legacy building," she said.

"We're spreading that message loud and clear," said Guilfoyle. "The last three polls for the president show his approval rating at 50% or higher. We are making inroads with people across this country."
