Donald Trump will be returning to Fox News after a two-week absence that fueled speculation that he was once again actively feuding with the network.
Trump will be appearing as a guest on
Bill O'Reilly's show Tuesday night and
Sean Hannity's program Wednesday,
Mediaite reports.
Trump's feud with the network was kindled by Fox star Megyn Kelly's controversial question during the first GOP presidential debate Aug. 6 about negative comments he had allegedly made about women in the past.
After the debate, Trump repeatedly bashed Kelly, memorably telling
CNN host Don Lemon that "you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, coming out of her wherever."
He and Fox News president Roger Ailes negotiated a truce, but Trump re-ignited the animosity in a series of
harsh anti-Kelly tweets as she returned from a 10-day vacation on Aug. 24.
He even retweeted a post that called Kelly a "bimbo."
Ailes called on Trump to
apologize to Kelly.
The feud has seemed to hurt Kelly more than Trump, as a
Public Policy Polling survey released Sept. 1 shows her unfavorable rating among Republican voters had doubled to 20 percent since the last survey taken in Dec. 2013.
"Meanwhile, Trump's popularity with GOP voters has just continued to grow," the poll's website said. "Last month before the debate his favorability with them was 48/39, now it's improved to 56/30."
