After the New England Patriots win at the Super Bowl Sunday night, former NFL quarterback Neil Lomax tells Newsmax TV that Tom Brady could go down as the best quarterback of all time.

"I always thought Joe Montana was the best quarterback I ever played with and against," Lomax, who played for the St. Louis Cardinals for seven years and one year after the team moved to Phoenix from 1981 to 1988, told hosts J.D. Hayworth and Miranda Khan on "America's Forum" Monday.

"He was definitely the best quarterback in the '80s," he explained.

"But we saw a guy yesterday that now deserves to be in the conversation as probably the best quarterback of all time," he said.

"Performance to me means it all, and Tom Brady proved to me against the best defense in the league and in the last, what, two series, he goes something like, what, 14 for 16, two touchdowns in a period of six minutes, and again, that to me overshadowed the play call at the end," he explained.

"I'm giving a lot of props to Tom Brady," the two time pro-bowl quarterback added.

The Seattle Seahawks came close to scoring a touchdown in the final seconds of the game, when the football was intercepted by the New England Patriots' Malcom Butler, in a play call that has been widely criticized.

"Obviously no one thinks very well of [the play call] because it didn't work," he explained.

"Everybody blames the play call but you should be blaming execution," he said.

"That's what I've been taught for years," he added.
