Jimmy LaSalvia: More Americans Looking to Third Parties

By    |   Tuesday, 05 August 2014 06:23 PM EDT

More and more Americans are looking to third party candidates because they no longer feel like either party represents them, says conservative commentator Jimmy LaSalvia.

"There have been some big articles in the Washington Post and in Time magazine recently about the rise of third party and independent candidates and they're happening in big races," LaSalvia told Ed Berliner on "MidPoint" on Newsmax TV Tuesday.

"We saw last year in Virginia in the governors' race there was a Libertarian candidate that did quite well," he explained.

"This year, there are 10 third-party candidates running in 12 of the hottest Senate races and could play a big role in the Senate," he added.

"The reason we're seeing so many third-party and independent candidates doing so well is because most Americans are getting to the point where they realize that neither of the major two parties represent them," LaSalvia said.

"And they're tired of picking the lesser of two evils."
