Rep. Ted Yoho to Newsmax TV: AOC's Claim Is 'Political Sophistry at Its Best'

Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., denied calling his colleague Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., a vulgar name when the two engaged in a conversation over her policies last week.

During a Tuesday appearance on Newsmax TV's "American Agenda" Yoho told host Bob Sellers he never accosted AOC, nor called her names.

"It's political sophistry at its best," Yoho told Sellers of the "f***ing b***h" remark alleged by AOC. "That never happened, Bob. She knows it didn't happen, and she has stated that didn't happen.

"And I challenged her on her policy, policy period."

He said he called her policies "freaking crazy" and "disgusting" before he turned around and walked away.

He added he asked permission to speak with her before he ripped her policies.

He said she changed the narrative because she did not like what he had to say.

"The interesting thing is she did a good job on the floor," he said of her speech blasting the encounter. "When I watch that, I'm like, 'ya, that guy is a bad guy.'"

He said she convinced 17 other members of Congress to attack him on a "false narrative."

"I want to know how she is going to explain that to her colleagues, attacking a member of Congress over a lie," he said.

Yoho then bashed AOC's policies as "dangerous" and "socialistic" and warned AOC and the liberal progressive Democratic Party is headed toward becoming Venezuela.

When Sellers pressed Yoho on whether it was possible he mumbled a comment about AOC under his breath, he said he did not.
