Like late President Ronald Reagan, a famous actor before politics, President Donald Trump has mastered the art of video narratives in political campaigns and rallies, according to presidential adviser and political strategist Jeffrey Lord.
"Having worked for Ronald Reagan, I have to say to you, there is something about nominating somebody – or having as a president – somebody who is very intimately familiar with television and the power of the image, the recorded image, etc." Lord told Newsmax TV's special coverage Saturday night. "Donald Trump gets it."
Host Rob Schmitt noted an extended clip of Friday night's "Stinchfield" was prominently featured during Trump's Valdosta, Georgia, really.
"I've been to these things and they have the big screen up there, they put up these soundbites and they tell their narrative through video," Lord said. "It is very, very effective."
