The remainder of President Obama’s second term is "going to be a long two years," says Rep. Steve King.

King pointed to State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf’s statement that one solution to stopping terrorism could be more jobs, and Obama’s likening to the Islamic State’s brutality to the Crusades.

"The president just appears to have no fear of the consequences of doing stupid things," said King, a member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security.

He said Obama’s immigration policies have set the stage for more security issues across the nation as terrorists are allowed to enter and plan havoc.

"Somehow, he seems to believe that he can pour people into America here that we know are the sources of death and violence and that it's not going to be brought to America," King said.

"It is appalling and he's going around Congress and he's not being open with us. His witnesses that come before Congress — Cabinet members for years now have been evasive in their testimony.

"They have run out the clock. I have not seen one come before any of the committees that I sit on with the attitude that they're trying to inform Congress and work with Congress."
