Steve Bannon's ouster Friday by President Donald Trump was "a tough pill to swallow" for Republicans, former Trump political adviser Sam Nunberg told Newsmax TV.

"They want deliverables," he said. "They're not getting deliverables now.

"That's not Steve's fault.

"And, now, there's not anybody in that West Wing with any real power besides the vice president, who we should pray for every day, who is a solid-rock conservative.

"That is the reality," Nunberg said. "It's like 'The Twilight Zone.'"
