Sarah Palin's call for the impeachment of President Barack Obama is a muddled mess of old charges that will never fly, says David Swerdlick, a columnist and contributing editor for TheRoot.com, an African-American news site.
"She says, the 'many impeachable offenses of President Barack Obama,' yet in her much talked-about column in Breitbart.com, she names not a single one. What's up with that?'' Swerdlick said Tuesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on

He said the former Alaska governor and onetime vice-presidential running mate of Sen. John McCain merely "rehashed her complaint from 2008 that Americans don't feel like Americans anymore in their own country, which is basically a dressed-up way of saying, "I want my country back.'"
"She went out and said she didn't like what he was doing on immigration. OK, a lot of people don't like what he's doing on immigration.
"She said she didn't think he was doing a good job with the economy and listed off a few things, criticisms, she had. All of those things are criticisms and she's entitled to criticize. None of those things is even close to an impeachable offense.''
