Republicans in midterm primaries need only to point at what President Donald Trump has been able to accomplish for campaign messaging, Trump's national spokesman Marc Lotter told Newsmax TV.
During an appearance on "America Talks Live," Lotter was asked about Tuesday's primaries and what the big issues are in the minds of voters.
"Broadly, I think it's going to be results vs. resistance – Republican candidates have the results to run on," he said.
"We can see it; Americans can see it when they open their paychecks; they can see it when they open the help wanted ads. We've got more job openings right now than at any point in history, and we have the lowest unemployment rate in 18 years. When you put those two things together, it means paychecks are going to be going up."

Lotter added that recent high school and college graduates have a strong chance of landing a job right now because of the strong economy.
Another fact to point to are the ongoing negotiations between the Trump administration and North Korea as Trump tries to convince the reclusive nation to give up its nuclear weapons, Lotter noted.
"You can throw in the fact that we're negotiating with North Korea, we're taking the lead again on the world stage to make the world a safer place," Lotter said. "Those are great things for Republicans to run on. Right now, the only thing the Democrats are offering is resistance."
