Dick Morris: Prepare For 'Realignment Election,' Trump Will Win

Expect Democrats and Republicans to switch allegiances in November when they get to the polls, political analyst Dick Morris told Newsmax TV Friday.

"I think that there will be lots of Republicans and independents who will either stay home or vote for Hillary," Morris told host Ed Berliner on "The Hard Line."

"I think they'll be offset by lots and lots of Democrats and independents who will either stay home, vote for a third candidate, or vote for Trump. You're going to see a massive realignment of the political parties because the left-right spectrum has had its day and now we have an insider vs. outsider construct."

Morris said the upcoming presidential election will be a "realignment election, and I bet that there are more people who are disgruntled with the global economy than are thrilled with it and I think it's very likely that in the exchange, Trump will triumph."

Morris is the author of the book "Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary" with Eileen McGann, which is the No. 1 nonfiction book in the United States, based on Amazon.com ratings, and has debuted at No. 4 on the Aug. 7 New York Times nonfiction list.
