Democrats who seek to the slow the confirmation process for President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet picks only want to "delay the inevitable," former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Pete Hoekstra told Newsmax TV on Thursday.

"Donald Trump is going to be president," the former Trump surrogate and Michigan congressman, told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth. "His Cabinet is going to be in place — and they're going to work on putting this agenda together.

"Donald Trump is going to come in and very aggressively push [Democrats] on an agenda and to get it done."
